Julian Mihai
Julian is the Deputy CISO and Executive Director at Cleveland Clinic, a non-profit academic medical center with 18 hospitals and 210 outpatient locations around the world. In his role Julian is responsible for cybersecurity strategy, advisory and technology platforms. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic, he held different leadership roles in enterprise cybersecurity and application development at HCSC/Blue Cross Blue Shield of IL, Microsoft, Motorola, and several technology startups.
Julian positions cybersecurity as a powerful enabler of business strategy and innovation in addition to its more traditional role in risk management. As a thought leader, he has helped organizations transform operationally inefficient security programs by building security functions as a business. He is passionate about collaboration with the security community to disrupt the status quo and leapfrog the industry into the future.
Julian holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and an MS and BS in Computer Science from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest.
